Student Personal Bio *Student would like to attend college (No sponsors for college). - Nicholas was born in Uganda and is a born-again Christian. When Nicholas was five years old, life became difficult when his parents separated due to family conflicts. He started a new life with his grandmother who took care of them but could not afford their education due to lack of funds and basic needs. Nicholas was later sent back to stay with his Mom in the slums. She was doing roadside selling to make money for rent and some school fees. Nicholas went to school for only part of the day and had to return home to sell ground nuts along the side of the road. Later, Nicholas mother got sick and had to return to the village, so he and his two older sisters were left alone on the streets. He was eventually separated from his sisters but later his Aunt was able to take care of him until he finished Senior-4 (Uganda Certificate of Education). Currently his Aunt is unable to help him any further because she has many dependents. Nicholas dream is to become an Electrical Engineer or a Plumber in Uganda to generate an income so he can take care of himself and help his family.
